Using the Bookmaking option in Practice mode and have built a semi-automated set of rules etc. Fine tuning and working well on today’s races with the exception of 2 races where , after multiple submission to create books , there were late withdrawals , one about 5 mins before the off , the second probably a minute only.
I do not have a prepared strategy to offset this type of situation and unsure what I should do when this occurs (manual or automated) , does anyone have any suggestions.
Thanks

Unfortunately there isn't a great deal you can do when this happens. The market quickly corrects to take account of it, often within seconds. So it's just part of the risk you take when doing this.

Be very careful Charlie. If you have it automated it's possible to turn your money over lots and lots of times. A withdrawn horse can leave you in a whole world of pain.

Check this classic Moneysavingexpert thread.

Like Euler says, it's the risk you take

Thanks Euler & Mugsgame for the replies (& link) , suspected as much to be honest.

Will persevere in PRACTICE and see how many times effected over a period of time

Good to hear , do you have any mechanism to cope with late withdrawals , I tend (time allowing) to move the liabilty off to the less fancied runners , but of course it only takes one of them to come in and wipe me out , easier to bear in PRACTICE but obviously in LIVE would not be a good strategy .

Stats say withdrawals are long term positive for me.
