Hi,
Please can anyone tell me if using this strategy ever fails and why?
I have used this in practice mode and it worked O.K. for a while but then it did not cancel the bets in ten seconds if not filled.
It seems to be a safe way of trading if it works.

Which strategy are you referring to?

The automated system where BA lets you place a back bet and holds it for 10 seconds while it fills a lay bet. If the lay bet order is not filled the back bet is cancelled. This means that you should never place a losing trade.
Can admin answer this question?

As those who have seen my other contributions I really enjoy scalping. Having tried most automated things regarding scalping and either failed or not make sufficient I would like a discussion on how to trade automatically and succeed. Manual scalping is a profit making machine but you need time.

And if the Back bet is fullfilled but not the Lay, and the horse loses? Or the other way round. Or a bit of both? If it really were that simple...

Unless you're talking about this upgrade for BetAngel?viewtopic.php?f=37&t=6781&start=30#p53851
:D

I agree. I want to make lots of money without having to put in any effort or waste any of my time. It really pisses me off when I have to spend a few hours a day making loads of tax free cash. it's well out of order. Come on admin. Sort out some strategies for us so we don't have to think for ourselves.

I'm interested that you have tried most automated things. There are a lot of things to try, query if you have even tried 0.01% of things??

If you have a criteria for entry and exit from a trade then you should be able to reduce it to rules, an algorithm and hence automate.

If you use the "vibe", "gut feel", "you know it when you see it" then unless you can fuse your brain into the pc .....

Overall I'm sceptical on all this burst of new posters who adopt the name "scalp". Just sayin.

Always a chuckle when this one comes up again (and again!)

That said, I do think the Bet Angel phrasing on these types of orders is a tad misleading. We all know "fill or kill" means don't order the second without securing the first. But it is understandable that newbies could interpret it to mean don't buy the first until you've sold the second...

Kelpie, Yes I did expect the orders to be filled as per the video as would most people. So why make the video in the first place if it cannot be done using Bet Angel? I don't know what the software can do but would expect some help from the Bet Angel team or forum members.
EyePeaSea, checked out your link, not sure what it shows .Are there any videos showing how set things up from the start.
I can and have used scalping manually but I am always looking for safer options to make money using Bet Angel.

Max (for those who don't like scalpers to use scalpy as a username.)

There is such a thing as learning, read the manual, watch the videos or do you want everything on a plate, people are more than willing to help but won't go as far as handing you their cheque book ;)

Hi Max,
Sorry - that was a joke. IIRC, it was in response to someone who thought making money on BF was a 10 minute job; buy the software - run it - sit back and count the cash. Hence the pretend screen shot showing the new version of BetAngel.
It's unfortunate if you found the guides/vids misleading (if that's common, then perhaps BA will look at that).
But surely it's reasonable to assume that if something looks too good (too easy) to be true, then it probably isn't true!

Online Trader,
I have read some of manual regarding horse racing and watched the videos!!
That is why I am asking am I doing something wrong when I follow the instructions as per the video but don't get the same results.
Is there something that requires being set in the global settings that I am missing or is it that this system does not work as described in the video?
Is the BACK bet held for 10/15 seconds while the LAY bet is filled but cancelled if the LAY bet is not completely filled or does Bet Angel have the ability to cancel the percentage of the BACK bet that is not filled?
Yes it may sound like an Automated cash machine but I am sure most of the experienced Bet Angel traders are doing something along this line.
