Well an update on Tonights trades, Made a nice 87.00 Profit on the 2 games 3 of 4 trades at half time...

BUT here is the lesson for us newbies, GREEN UP when the profit is there...

Bayern Scored, So that would have taken me to a nice round £100 profit and My losses cut in half... What did i do? Went to take a leak thinking its cool, I got a few mins.... Came back and arsenal Equalized... God damn it.... Green up now with a £16 loss on that trade and walk away with £71 Profit... Oh No... Let it run cos Bayern will score again... wont they?

Last Minute of the game.. £90 loss on that trade and a penalty Bayern, Yes a last minute salvation i thought.... Missed penalty and an £87 profit turned to an overall £20 loss....

Slap me now as thats another lesson learnt....

It's never that wise to learn your lessons by what's happened in one game and certainly not from a last minute penalty. You can't assume whatever gives the biggest profit in one market is the way forward, you need a consistent approach that give the biggest profit over thousands of markets.

Personally, I've always thought trading in play football is far too much of a gamble and all these insurance type lay 1-0 etc bets just give away far too much value unless you know how to get best price. But people out there do it successfully so no reason why you shouldn't either, just for me it seems far too much hard work.

I am not basing my learning on the profits... I am basing it on the that is what not to do..... I thought that I had a strategy that was paying off... In practice mode I had some good strike rates and followed that into live play..... But found that with all strategies there is a flaw.... The human element of not being so willing to take a slight loss.... Which caused an even bigger overall loss....

I will keep this strategy going in practice for a while and gone my closing trades with an overall profit....

I think that must be the gambler in me that has made me think it will win.... So this has to be cut out in the long term to be profitable....
