I don't know who pays these people but they are lucky it's not me holding the purse strings; I wouldn't pay them in washers!
In the 2:10 Newbury, the race caller was wearing the wrong glasses as is the norm for these eejits! He was waffling on about Call me Vic being in the lead and then he said BLAH BLAH BLAH....A ANOTHER horse is two lengths down in 2nd. The rest of the field were some 4-5 lengths behind the 2nd horse so how on God's green earth could he call the wrong horse in 2nd? My Wigwam or Yours was clearly in second and his colours were pretty distinctive. Despite this he managed to get it totally wrong. Rather than amend his call with any form of apology or contrition he simply said "My Wigwam or yours moves into second" I mean WTF? Then suddenly it was "My Wigwam or Yours moves alongside Call me Vic...oh errrr...he now pulls 10 lengths clear" How are they allowed to get away with this?
I for one was happy because I had backed it elsewhere and covered my exposure on Betfair but somebody must have been pulling their hair out at this awful Mr Magoo style commentary from Ian Bartlett..I think it was him?!?!?
It just seems to be acceptable to get it all wrong and nobody complains. Myopic Mike CCattermole is another culprit along with Jim Croc o' Sh*t McGrath who sounds inebriated most of the time.
Then they wonder why racing is going down the tubes!!
Rant over!

Simon Holt has just done it on the Lingfield 15:00 where he said "Skidby Mill" now looms up blah blah "and she should battle as she always does" yet from my viewpoint she was never close to even battling let along winning it.
They're surely paid to add excitement to the commentary as they cannot be looking at the race from a neutral point of view.
It reminds me of the UEFA official parked adjacent the goal. WTF does he do? He never seems to see anything yet he's a few yards from the action.
