My suggestion is to Place a drop down list of All runners for your selected race in the Conditions section, and add a condition that will allow you to add extra parameters to your General bet.
RUNNER NON RUNNER
TICK BOX ( HORSE ) TICK BOX
on one side = is a runner (TICK BOX)
on other side = non runner (TICK BOX)
You then can choose whatever criteria you wish too place concerning whether these horses are runners/non runners
Take example a 8 runner race (A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H,)the only way to protect your wager is to choose number of selections and state is equal to 8.
Say this 8 runner race consists of 5 Rags (D,E,F,G,H)
you could select the 3 runners with a chance (A,B,C,)in the is a runner section so that your bet will fire if these 3 horses are runners.
If you wanted to cater for a selected non runner then add next rule.
2nd Rule)Adjust your parameters then go to conditions and de-select one of the 3 runners say (C) and place a tick in the non runner section for (C)now if C becomes a non runner this new rule will replace the old rule
You could do this for as many scenarios as you wish.
This type of conditioning should help you place a bet with more confidence.
There would have to be another statement in the conditions drop down list that states if conditions not met new parameters select (or something like that)

I have looked at other betting bots and a similar type of condition is being used it is
(CANCEL IF NON RUNNER)
It states
It is possible to cancel the bet if one of certain selections becomes a non runner (for example, was withdrawn before the bet is placed). You can choose which selections must run in the following dialog window:
Select horses that must run.
If at least one of selected horses is withdrawn before the bet is placed, the bot will not fire the bet.
If this was incorporated into the conditions section to replace the Number of selections condition it could be used as similar by selecting all the horses but where it is far Superior you can select whatever horse must run.

That's ok if you are at your computer but if you program your selections say 5 hours b4 the off you could specify to place your bet as long as ABCD are runners and so your bet will only be placed according to your rule.
You could do the same as what you are doing now by just selecting all the runners but if certain horses say 50/1 shots are later withdrawn after you have specified <7 your bet won't be struck and if that 50/1 shot didn't really effect your strategy then you have missed a bet.
I don't know what your strategy is but at least you have the choice, as it is now you only can stipulate number of runners to protect your bet.
