Laid it at 4.8....
Market opened on course, someone lit the blue touch paper and it shot off towards the stars
He kept the horse covered in the parade ring to stop paddock judges (bookies in particular) checking his condition
It's hard to judge from the TV pictures because you need to be there really but he looked fit enough to me. It seemed he was never going to win today as he drifted like mad and then was pulled up.

I think it is quite funy how any Curley horse has become a self-fulfilling prophecy, much like a horse that plays up a little must drift 

Think I might review the stats re Curley runners in Maidens - mush less for the Stable to go at in terms of market (compared to handicap) and could be a lay opportunity.
Either way Curley's horses are usually good fun and at least it's got us talking about something.
