Good Luck Andy Fuller
Managed to spot Mr Fuller at 19m and chased him up the street for a bit. Well done on your time!

Cheers Peter, I kept an eye out as I went round incase you were out on the course but didn't spot you.
Unfortunately slower than last year despite better running conditions this year. I was pretty sure it was going to be a race to forget before I left the hotel room, I basically didn't sleep for 3 nights so was knackered before I even started.
I stupidly didn't reassess my race plan and stuck to try and get sub 2:40:00, I was on time at halfway doing the first half marathon in pretty much 1:20:00 but I already new I was in trouble as my legs felt tight and I could tell I didn't have a whole lot in reserve.
From about 16 miles it was a real struggle and thankfully I managed to convince myself that 'just a little walk' was not actually a good idea.
Always next year I guess, better training and better prep and I will be able to say I have ran 2hrs 30 something for the marathon

Y, missed you this time. Hence the poorer time
Do you get automatic entry into next year?
I always found a marathon too far for me. Could time a half to perfection , but never could on the full 26. Never got under 3hrs so hats off for being able to do it consistently. Always hit half well under that time but always blew up around 18-20 miles.

Yes I am guaranteed a spot for 2016 & 2017 already. I get a Championship place for both years as I have run under 1hr 15mins for a half marathon since 01/01/2015. I haven't managed sub 2hrs 45mins for the marathon distance since 01/01/2015 but you can use either half or full marathon times only for Championship entry.Euler wrote:Do you get automatic entry into next year?
I would also qualify for the Good For Age entry but it is much better going in the Championship start as you have better facilities at the start and get to share the warm up area and start line with the Elite field, also it is cheaper.
Warming up alongside Haile Gebrselassie last year was pretty sweet.
Annoyingly as I wasn't a member of a running club until a few years ago I didn't realise you could enter London on Good For Age timings so for several years I entered the ballot and didn't get a spot when I could have automatically had one based on my marathon Good For Age time.
You live and learn!
