Is this true? Didn't spot any race with the green button, does anyone know anything else?

Thanks!

Strangely the Belmont Stakes won't be turned in play...

the strange thing is that USA hr racing trading volumes on https://promo.betfair.com/betfairsp/prices/
are not present. For example this one:

https://promo.betfair.com/betfairsp/pri ... 062014.csv

some of the races from this file matched more than 50k.

According to the same source they had inplay traded volume in November and June

21:48 wasn't inplay, but traded well pre off. SP worked as well.

are the american races becoming tradable?

are they at a (at least some tracks) level or better than the evening all weather stuff in the winter, especially compared with 4 or 5 years ago?

i rarely look at them apart from the breeders cup, can never really summon up any enthusiasm whenever i have, it does not last long.

curious for others opinions.

I generally don't trade them apart from the major races. I know a few others mess around on the minor stuff but it's not big enough for me.

I make 20% of my weekly profit from US racing. All automated. SP works well, but there are some tracks without SP.

Start times were so random the last time I looked?

Taking SP would eliminate that risk wouldn't it?

Still the case. But there are bots programmed around those start times. I am engaged in a long term battle of my bots vs other bots. Obviously things can change but at present I hold my own against those bots and produce an acceptable weekly profit.

Ps. The focus of bots around start times is a phenomena in other markets as well. Once the market is analysed then one can back solve what is happening and plan for profit.

Sky Racing World are showing US racing 4 mornings a week starting soon I think. This might add a bit of liquidity as it gives traders certainty of when a race is actually going off. Very significant news and will be interesting to see how it affects the US markets.
