Lay offset excel?

Say the current price is 2.00 on the lay side, if I lay offset 2 in excel what price will it lay at? If it is 1.96 how do I lay at 2.04?

Offsetting always works in the opposite direction.

So if you lay at 2.00 it will back above that 2.02, 2.04, 2.06, 2.08

If you back at 2.00 it will lay below that 1.99, 1.98, 1.97

How would i go about offering a lay price which is above the current price so that I can get ahead of the pack when I catch a drift in play or will this just be offering a value price to backers, any thoughts?
