Hi everyone

Do any of you trade during the 20/15 minute into the 5 minute time frame pre race?

I find there are some big moves during this time but have seen others say its gambling to trade before the last race has finished as this is the best time?

Any ideas on this?

Thanks all
Steven

Hi Steven

I am not a trading expert just yet ... but I find I do better trading with anything from an hour to 5 minutes before the off. It seems less volatile and easier to get out of a bad position.

I usually trade until 5 minutes before the off and then move to the next race.

Cheers

Hi Murgo

Thanks for the reply. Do you find it hard getting matched earlier out?

if you put anything decent in the market so early some bolllocks will take it and sell it off u go chasing your money and sell out for a loss.

I place my exit position first ... a couple of ticks from what the current market is offering and where I am in front of the que. As the price moves closer to my exit position ... only then do I enter the market, which most times adds momentum to the relavent trend and my exit position is taken quickly. It's like scalping in slow motion. I just find it easier to read the market and not as stressful as it can be close to the off.

Thanks Murgo I see what you mean. I've been trying placing my entry on a trending horse and then exiting around the 3 minute mark?

Anyone else try this way and have success?

Cheers
