No I'm not looking to lay the draw!
1st query
I'm just curious was it profitable for long, was there good liquidity at the price jump after a goal, did it gradually reduce in usefulness or was it a sudden decline, those kind of things in the laying the draw theory.

Trying to get my head around how the market spots the gap so to speak, and closes it out to be efficient.

2nd query
I was checking the Champions League scores on the betfair app on my phone a few weeks ago as I had some under/overs going and was in work so couldn't see anything.
There was an early goal in the Anderlecht-Dortmund game (3 mins), and when I was looking at the cash out options about 15 mins in, there was a suspension, score changed to 0-2, suspension, score changed to 1-1, suspension, score changed to 0-1 again then back in play!

Granted it was probably a poor unpaid intern putting a 1 where it shouldn't have been or something similar, but just wondering is there often fat finger opportunities in football, ball hitting the side netting, late call for offside, foul in the build up, that kind of thing where someone jumps the gun and lashes their bet/lay in.

That's all, happy trading today folks.

Flashscores sometimes chalk up a goal which they haven't realised has been disallowed and the wrong prices trade for a few seconds, usually only for very small amounts. It happened last night on one of the internationals. About 10 days ago I saw about £2,000 matched at wrong prices in similar circumstances.

It's a tricky situation to trade because a) you have to realise the true situation, and b) it takes some time for prices to 'find their level' after a goal, by which time it's probably been suspended again with all bets cleared.

It's my understanding that in most cases, the suspensions are not instigated by betfair themselves; isn't there a third party service at the match which does it on the spot?
