Some nice racing on, just often not in the right order!

Got off to a poor start today and slowly recovering it, I know its still my own skill level and mindset that are holding me at the moment but has anyone else found today tricky? 5 mins between races not helping?

Just got to target specific races IMO, I'm only trading 12 races all day and I do far better than trying to do every race :)

Yes I definitely try to fit too much in, in terms of the way the market feels though when only 5 mins between races feels very different to me. Seems a lot weaker and and more jumpy.

I was steady and with few losses and no big wins but picked up a decent total in the Oaks for a decent day

this is by and far the #1 reason that many folk never make reasonable profit -agree wholeheartedly (on avg, i target about 20-25). I in fact run automation 100% for my trading and take a hybrid approach of selecting targetted events during morning setup and also run a little sentinal app that transfers funds from the UK wallet to the AUS one if either the profit target or loss is reached at any point. that way i'm pretty much assured a similar result each day (of course always hoping that it's a profit closure, rather than a defensive %age loss closure :o :D ).

[edit] as an aside, using the technique above means that you can be out of the markets one way or another after 10-12 races, all going well. this was in fact what happened today ;)

16/07/2016 18:13:10: [G_Auto] : Automation Signal for Great Glen: subtwo = 68

(a fine example of the strength of the signals dictionary/tuple!!)
