I've had quite a few people at the stand today complaining. Everybody hates Murdoch so it's Sky's fault. Fair enough, he's had more than a few bob out of 'em.

It doesn't seem to matter that Discovery are asking for a shit load of money (~£1Bn) when their audience is declining, due mainly to the crapness of their programming over the past few years.

It's become Lowest Common Denominator TV; I used to watch loads of Discovery docs, but now it's all reality shit. The only thing I'll really miss other than Eurosport is Wheeler Dealers, and that can be utter shite when it wants to be.

According to them, and not disputed by Sky, they've 5.5million viewers each week so around £3.50 pw hardly a shit load for Eurosport and the discovery channels to be fair. For me SKY's mainly used for the racing channels but other than those the discovery stuff is probably what I'd watch most as a lot of the other stuff is just available for free these days especially with the dish already installed.

I changed onto Sky Q a couple of weeks ago and have noticed a decline in broadband speed since then and a few times it's really deteriorated and interferred with trading .
Worth noting if thinking of getting SKY Q, as it seems their systems are still being developed and and the multiscreen boxes work off wi-fi not a hard wire to the dish.
On Kodi, I have used that for about a year and if you buy one of the pre-loaded fire sticks it will be good for everything apart from most sport , but you can get online apps which cost about £20 per month to put on the firestick which are much better for sport as they stream from USA, Canada, Asia etc. Wont be perfect but generally ok and good for 3pm kicks offs etc.

Those online apps sound interesting.

Can you let us know what they are?

Thanks
