First race was a lot easier, BD is far easier but watch BF for the movements.

Some ridiculous over reactions in the market on the later races due to other runners getting beat in the first! As soon as one stable runner gets beat everybody bails out!

That's the trouble with these festival meetings, though I guess it works well if you're on the right side of it.

I think its just traders just seeing an opportunity then people realise "wait why are they laying it just because a previous horse got beat" so it usually returns again.

Me too. Just can't trade those ridiculously liquid markets.

Yeah I know, works the other way too. I suppose it's fastest finger first. It's the one element to festival trading that I don't really like, though if youve got your finger on the button ready you can make yourself a few quid very quickly.

Does Betfair have a mximum bet on the exchanges?

Enjoying trading on Betdaq, fill rate seems good and not really massive stacks of money. Think if you are trading small to medium stakes like me Betdaq is the way forward.

Don't think so, I suppose the maximum bet depends on how much money there is there available to back at the time.

Agree on betdaq, it's so much easier when using smaller stakes, that one tick gap in the prices can often work in your favour, it's a bit like trading on betfair, but being allowed to jump to the head of the queue. Been a couple of ticks difference in prices between the two exchanges a few times already today too.

I think I am going to seek to raise 50 million from investors this year.
Stick £25 million either side of the book on the short priced favourites at the festivals, just a matter of time before someone else does.

Same here, I've got nothing out of Cheltenham yet. Was tempted to give Southwell and sedgefield a miss, glad I didn't now.
