My previous post was obviously tongue in cheek but in all seriousness, this graph is very similar to what happens to public sentiment on hearing 'fake news'. Belief and sudden hostility that reaches a climax, a gradual realisation that it isn't true, and a lingering whiff of smoke, dispite the lack of fire, that prevents full confidence being restored. I think that's the name I'll be giving to these graphs.
