Dallas has a great post somewhere on the forum about using the Take SP option just in case something like this happens. Also if you watch any trading videos on youtube you will see mugsgame often uses this option as a form of insurance. It doesn't guarantee you wont make a loss, but it should limit your loss if the trade moves against you.
Taking the plunge.. Advice Needed!!
JPK65 just saw your post and i can comment on it from my own experience its like looking at myself before i got my discipline in order.
. Then I lost my internet connection in the middle of a trade and found myself in a bad position when it returned.
"probably the start of your discipline being compromised you werent think rationally"
Guess what I did next. Yes I let it go in-play
that continued the spiral
leading to this
(Unsurprising then traded on an Irish race although I had been advoiding them up until this point because I have problems reading Irish markets as the odds seem to jump around to erratically for me I made my biggest loss of the session)
you avoid the irish for a reason " you made a rule and broke it " but your lack of discipline led to irrational thinking that easily overrides your decision not to trade them .
I should have quit at that stage and accepted a small lose on my session
( not being able to take a loss on the day ) turning the computer off is the hardest thing sometimes but feels good as soon as you have done it and are away from it
Maybe my Celtic temperament means that I am not really cut out for this game.
i laughed when i read this as what your saying is no celtic person has ever been successful doing this lol
(an excuse for not keeping your discipline )
maybe i havent done it neatly but i am trying to point out whats setting you off on this path you go down daily..am sure most people on here can see the pattern
.one thing you must learn is "YOU HAVE TO GET YOUR DISCILPINE UNDER CONTROL " this game is hard enough to crack with discipline without it probably impossible .
there are urges when a bad habit starts to occur you have to be aware of the urge and intercept it with whatever works for you ,that might be getting up and walking around , sitting on your hands but if you folllow the urge you will go bust guaranteed
losing your connection seems to me that it started the whole thing off for the day and once your stuck in the gambling/chasing mindset its hard to get out of.
