If you collected the information yourself you will notice you often get days with a bias of strong backing or laying in the market, once one of these becomes obvious to you then you can use it in remaining races
Why does this happen? Without an underlying reason it's hard to believe it's any more than normal variance. To suggest that people who see it should follow it in later races is straying into the irrational realm of conditional probability.

If the propeller heads here think it's a 'thing' then it probably is, but it would be nice to have an idea of what supporting evidence to look for apart from there being six reds or six blacks in a row.

(quite happy for this to be bumped into it's own topic, I suspect it's not an easy answer)

There are patterns there. I think you are looking at it too logically, the market isn't particularly logical a lot of the time.

not many people trading summer racing? as PW said the 15 min gap means the money comes in over a longer period of time.

Where volume starts and finishes is not related to price it's how it moves it that is important.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. Too logical, not logical enough....jeez it's a very narrow tightrope ;)

Well, I think you need to see the black and white of the market in numbers to quantify exactly what you are doing.

But when you do that you can see that the market never really acts logically, it's often all over the place for no valid reason.

Yea, seems every time I lay it steams and every time I back it drifts, pretty sure I should be charging people so they know what I'm doing😂😂😂

....except on the few days it repeatedly goes where you predict because of the activity earlier in the day. ;)

It's tough being a mere mortal. I think I need a day in Hook at the end of the summer.

I'm sure a lot of people will disagree with me, but I can't see anything wrong with taking the course more than once. In particular if you take the course with very little or no sports trading experience, the chance of taking in everything that is communicated during the day is going to be fairly small.

Getting sick and tired of seeing red figures everywhere. I seem to have a skill for getting on the wrong end of extreme price swings. Really struggling to read these markets. It just seems so random. I think I have identified a good runner to scalp after opening the graph and seeing a steady line going across with very minimal ups and downs. I back it and then immediately see the price shooting off to the heavens never to be seen again. Really dont know how long I can stick this for. Would love to know the secret.
