Hi

Last night I had a position that I would have traded out of but the 19.30 at Bath was suspended for some time before the off. I lost money due to being unable to close and red or green up. How do I stand with this, is it worth me writing to BF to point out this fact and request a refund?

How do they usually handle these things?

Thanks to anyone who may know as this is a first for me.

Kaz
As far as I know they won't do anything. Just say sorry for the inconvenience.

It sucks I know, but I'm sure theres stuff in their ToS about outages and them not being liable etc..

Hi,
I also had a position on the 19.20 race at Fairyhouse yesterday evening when the market suspensed before the off not letting me exit my trade. I lost £75, not a great deal of money but that's not the point. I contacted Betfair, explained the situation to them and they offered me £10 for the inconvience. After a few choice words and eventually getting a manager on the phone he reimbursed me £50, not the full amount but I probably done well to get that. In future I 'll have Betdaq open so I can hedge my position

That's good going, I've never known them to compensate anyone from a site crash.

What were the choice words you used? cause I have fucked them up hills and down dales more times than I can remember and only have ever got a load of platitudes and insincere apologizes.....(well done by the way)

It took a few phone calls and a lot of argueing untill I got the right person on the phone who was in a position to do something about it I suppose. Even then after 10 minutes argueing with him he offered £35 first, I said I wanted a full refund but in the end I setteled for £50. I dont know if I would have got anything off them if it had been a larger stake
Anyone else get any good of them?

Yarmouth on hold for a while. Lightening has taken out the camera truck.

Stop your bots.
