Anyway there is no rest in my house when the children get ready for their first day back at school so I grabbed a cuppa and my laptop.
The first thing I noticed was the price of Tyfos at around 3.55-3.60 which in my book is a crazy price

Important As before, I am NOT saying this horse cannot win, I am suggesting this price is too low and should be more like 4.50 in my book.
As a result of his latest win he was awarded a new mark of 84 and was subsequently finished 4th at Chester 21/08/10. He was far from disgraced in that race of a career high mark and led until 1f out only to be swallowed up close home. It could also be that Chester didn't suit him although he did lead so something must have gone right for him.
He is a front runner and for the in-running players he could well offer a chance to back him pre-race and lay him off in running. Warning..Will Robinson

Mick Channon has a good chance with Univeral Circus who loves to hear her hooves rattle. You can forgive her the last defeat at Leicester as it was soft ground; it will be ideal today! She ran a lot at 7f but they seemed to have unlocked her with a drop back to 6f seeming to suit her best.
The dark horse is The Strig and he may attract support later as this is only his 5th handicap. He is very headstrong but with the likely blazing early pace his jockey should hopefully get him to settle close behind to allow him to come with a late run.
It's a tight race so 3.50 about Tyfos when he is on a lifetime high and struggled to win from 75-77 for 9 races is no value at all. I hope the rest of the gambling public agree and we see this drift out to a more sensible mark between 4.30-4.50.
My reverse forecast would be Universal Circus and The Strig....let's hope we get the drift on Tyfos

EDIT at 09:55 - Tried to catch up on sleep but didn't manage it so I looked at the race a bit more. Falasteen has tumbled down the handicap and he will think he's been let loose today! Richard Fahey is a shrewd trainer and I am sure he's not sending him all the way to Epsom for a day out. This horse could sit behind the trailblazers and let them set up the race for him. Just a bit more info that shows how competitive this race is and just how crazy the price of 3.50 for Tyfos really is
