There have been some very hefty lays in the markets today like those £20k and £8k stakes laying the 3 Birdcage Walk in the 1655 at Nottingham.
I was trying to scalp it for a few ticks as the price was bouncing a bit but couldn't get on. The £20K was at 3.6, the £8K a but higher, but the price came down in between those lays being removed.

I've been a bit nervous so haven't really gone for it today. Picked up a useful result on the Cricket and trading the Golf so actually grateful for a lack of racing.
I posted this on the Cricket WC thread but think you may have missed it as there were quite a few posts made after it so it dropped down quickly:

Double boom, so I'm sorted for the match now.
Do you envisage soon switching to cricket when it is on and away from manual horse racing?

If I understood correctly the reason you haven't looked at cricket really in the past was that in the course of a cricket match you could trade X number of races and therefore expect to make £x amount.

Though now with cricket markets being so big that they can accommodate your potentially very large stakes you could make more from manually trading cricket than manually trading horse racing.

Edit: It won easily.
Just as well for him his £20K wasn't snapped up in its entirety.

Pretty sure it was all taken eventually when they re-entered the market with it after the initial entry and removal.

A sole meeting at Leopardstown isn't enough to keep me trading, despite a group 3.

Me neither.

Chepstow off today, but the card doesn't look too bad today.

14:23 and there's still one aussie race left. It's been a long night.

Was mad money for Ryan horse She can Dance, in first at York - missed the graph capture, but it was hammered.

Finished unplaced!

Quick Q: £100 back bet increases this stored value by £200, correct?

Betfair really take a long time to take races inplay. Obviously some issue at their end in terms of how they do this.

Anyone had any issues with Sandown races this afternoon? My normally 99.9% reliable automaton files in Guardian have failed to trigger on all but one race for no apparent reason. I know the races have been put back 5 minutes but this shouldn't affect it.

I tried taking the markets off, refreshing and re-adding but this didn't work either. Odd. Working fine on everything else.

Field sizes are tiny there, maybe that is impacting your strategy.
