Come on Kai, don't lower yourself to those standards. "First base" to a newbie could mean anything. I have placed 19 trades so far and 17 have made a profit. Is that "first base" is that not "first base"?

If you go to www.google.com and type "first base", this is what you will see:-

You then have to decide which of those three definitions Euler was talking about.

It's not possible to succeed at trading without working hard. If you're too lazy to even look up "first base" you may as well give up!

Sorry but your discussions and threads have no standards, and if they do then you're the one that keeps lowering them.

You told not to do something but gave absolutely no details. "The devil is in the detail" Your statements have no detail whatsover. I am asking you for detail and you still fail to provide it.

You're like my cat - one minute she's begging to get out, the next she's begging to come back in!

First base has nothing to do with the number of markets you've traded - you can trade 10,000 markets and still not have a clue what you're doing. You're past first base when you understand the basics of trading, which you've already been given links to where you can learn them.

19 markets are nothing. It takes hundreds of markets to just begin to have experience under your belt.

'first base' is common parlance outside of trading, it's not a special phrase. Google would have told you that.

19 trades isn't first base you've only just walked onto the field, you'd usually measure performance over 2 or 300 games.

But...if you don't see gold in what Euler says, a guy who was trading when Caan was still in short trousers and before you were born, an irrefutable Don of the trading world and with a bank balance that would make your eyes water, then you can't be helped. Give up Luke, trading isn't a get rich quick scheme and I don't think you're quite ready for it yet.

I think he knew what first base is, he just phased his question quite badly. I'm beginning to understand him now:

You're on the wrong track > What track should I be on?

You need to read the advice given > What post did I miss?

It's not a riddle Luke, stop spamming the question.

By first base he probably meant learn what an exchange is, learn what a back bet and what a lay bet is and learn how to manage them properly. Learn the difference between basic punting and trading, that's your biggest obstacle. Until you learn these very basic "first base" concepts there's no point talking about any so called details. You've made 19 basic bets and you think that makes you a profitable trader. Fair enough, best of luck.
