That explains it - I thought the last was your total.aidenrn810 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 06, 2019 7:33 pmThe last of these 4 has a negative ROI, but the other 3 have much larger positive ROI's.

If you just list 3 and then have a line that says starting bank.... minus 17% it's an easy mistake to make. Why not just show the 4th strategy.aidenrn810 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 06, 2019 7:33 pmMy 2-month summary covers the four strategies that I am currently running with.
The last of these 4 has a negative ROI, but the other 3 have much larger positive ROI's.
Btw why are you tweeting and posting this, raw pl numbers are meaningless?

Why not wait another month then you can post up a 3 month pnl shot instead of the odd day's here and there

spreadbetting : agreed yes twice monthly updates is what I have now converged on. Let's see where I am in 2, 4, 6, etc.... weeks time.
Derek : good, sorry for confusing things with the words bank total, as that is what I called my starting pot for strategy 4 only - not obvious by just reading this summary update in isolation.
Shaun : from the start of this thread and tge assiciated horse trading one my strategies should be explained, so twice-monthly statuses are just showing my p&l progress. All bet details are on the twitter screenshots. 4th strategy is HT/FT lays, which thus far is down about £50 on my initial £250 bank.
Meaningless to you may be meaningful to someone else
Rik: your ROI explanation is correct and precisely how I have calculated my ROI's for each of the 4 strategies.

I wasn't being dismissive of the amounts, it's just that without knowing what you've done it's hard to tell if that profit is any good or just what happens when you have a lay at biggish prices strategy that hasn't reverted yet .

End of Month 3 update
BF & Summary SM screenshots from Month 3 are on my twitter page @slownadsteadyprofits
GOLF lays. UP 237.79 ROI +65%
HORSE lays. UP 160.76 ROI +31% NO ACTIVITY during Month 3, I will park this strategy for now as I don't have the spare time most afternoons/evenings due to Full Time work and family, plus also a few on here have mentioned it may be too risky a strategy...………..never say never, but I return to it in due course.
Football CS's. UP 1,947.95 ROI +344%
Separate £250 starting bank is at £207.87 ROI -17% NO ACTIVITY during Month 3, I will park this strategy for now and re-think it's merits or not for future use.
3 Months in and my "slowandsteady" progress is showing a clear profit of £2,304
I've focussed mainly on Football correct score lays in November - despite a quieter period due to the International fixtures which I only found a few to partake in.
Apart from one expensive blip on the Dortmund v Paderborn match, which you'll see in the BF screenshots as burning me at a loss of £500 for a 3-3 result.........it has still been a great month yet again with me increasing my overall profit yet further. (for comparison at the end of Month 2 I was at £1,800 profit so still heading in the right direction)
A few people on here and more via Twitter direct messaging have exchanged very useful information and asked questions on a number of aspects of my strategy. Whilst explaining it's helped me also refine the criteria for how I select the right games to get involved with as well........so thanks.........and all other thoughts, ideas and questions are always welcomed.
Roll on Month 4 and I hope a profitable lead in to Christmas and the end of 2019.
