Are you including the clap-trap conclusions of an art degree where so called experts appointed by other so called experts tell you that the Turner Prize entries are objects invoking deep meaningful thought and debate? I mean what has a white room with a light flashing on and off ever done for us over the last 18 years?!ShaunWhite wrote: ↑Wed Dec 11, 2019 3:23 pm… a degree proves a capacity to collate information and to draw approprate conclusions from it, the subject is fairly irrelevent.

Most be people go to uni so they don't have to live in the real world for a few more years - they change from one course to the other and then end up going into retail after 6 yearsfirlandsfarm wrote: ↑Thu Dec 12, 2019 10:00 amAre you including the clap-trap conclusions of an art degree where so called experts appointed by other so called experts tell you that the Turner Prize entries are objects invoking deep meaningful thought and debate? I guess that rather disproves the illusion that more intelligent people read the Telegraph.ShaunWhite wrote: ↑Thu Dec 12, 2019 1:37 amInteresting use of stats maths in The Telegraph.
"One in four votes - around 20 per cent - is likely to be cast by post at today's general election."
And they have the nerve to say manifesto pledges don't add up![]()

It is somewhat undemocratic but it has the advantage of (usually) securing an outright winner so that they can get on with governing the country.Aarondewit wrote: ↑Thu Dec 12, 2019 2:23 amIt's always struck me as extraordinary how ridiculous and undemocratic the first-past-the-post voting system is.

Agreed, and then when they leave they bleat that they have this huge debt brought about by their extended stay away from work. I didn't go to university because of an admin cock-up over my A-level entries, they only thing that I regret is that I didn't meet all those girls in the halls of residence!

It doesn't say anything about the readers, just the journalism.firlandsfarm wrote: ↑Thu Dec 12, 2019 10:10 amI guess that rather disproves the illusion that more intelligent people read the Telegraph.ShaunWhite wrote: ↑Thu Dec 12, 2019 1:37 amInteresting use of stats maths in The Telegraph.

On a point of accuracy I concur but it sounded better to associate it with the readersShaunWhite wrote: ↑Thu Dec 12, 2019 10:23 amIt doesn't say anything about the readers, just the journalism.firlandsfarm wrote: ↑Thu Dec 12, 2019 10:10 amI guess that rather disproves the illusion that more intelligent people read the Telegraph.ShaunWhite wrote: ↑Thu Dec 12, 2019 1:37 amInteresting use of stats maths in The Telegraph.

OK Guys, ranting over. Everybody has made their decision and will be voting today however they feel appropriate. Let's see if we can squeeze a few quid out of the markets.
They have been quite lively already. But why that is the case, I've no idea.
I've been playing the Lab Maj markets and have worked a massive position in there if the outsider comes in. But will try and turn my attention to the shorter prices.
I actually arranged to see my daughter some time ago to support her in a charity event that is taking place tonight. So I'll probably miss the fun and games later, but I am collecting data on it.
