Today's Horse Racing
What a dire week it has been, had looked forward to today with 4 afternoon meetings scheduled. Then we lose Leicester to the rain and Newcastle are doing their best to get their races off late to ensure they clash with Clonmel and then Catterick put back 5 mins. Not making the best of days.
Thankfully we have had a very mild winter this year as with the new scheduling of only 2 afternoon meetings most of the winter on Mondays and Tuesdays and some Wednesdays we could easily have had a lot of blank afternoons.
I have been looking through the fixture list for 2020 recently and have seen that the BHA have repeated this for 2020. I am really not a fan you may have guessed, but it keeps the bookies happy I guess having fodder for the evenings.
I used to like the blank evenings in the winter.
On a more positive note it is only 9 weeks to Cheltenham!
