sorry meant to write up on this yesterday but didn't get home until late.

OK the good,

Fast connection - The connection was good and quick and probably got me out of jail a few times. Although it did feel a bit spikey but that could have been betfair itself rather than the connection. Tough to really know without trying it a few times

Location - Took me 10 mins on the tube from Euston to get there which was great. 2 minutes walk once you get there. Very easy to find.

Friendly - OK there was also a bit of a downside to but that is on the bad! They guys there were generally friendly and keen toask me if I'll be back. I felt like I could have probably asked about some of their techniques and they would be happy to share.

The bad

computer - It said on the website the computers are all pretty high range ones with on crap on them. In reality I am not so sure. I didn;t check the machine but on the phone earlier in the day I spoke to someone who trades from there and when I asked him about api software he said all the machines had deep freeze on them and if I add software to it, it wouldn;t run that fast as deep freeze slows it down. I certainly felt there was some sort of delay when I was using the machine which sort of nulled the fast connection!

moniters - The machine I had had 1 19 inch monitor and a 19 inch tv next to it. 19 inches is not a lot of screen space so I was a bit limited to what I could see really. What really annoyed me was the mouse!! It was a cheap bottom of the range 5 quid one on a racing traders mouse matt that was diry and stuck with you moved it! If I went again I would take my own mouse.

Pictures - Whilst they had turf tv and SIS as a pre race trader the extra second or so you get simply wasn't an issue for me. I was told the channel numbers but throughout the afternoon the channels changed and I couldn't find ATR at all and there was no one there I could ask about it as he was trading in another room!

Atmosphere - Although the guys there were genrally friendly the were all inplay traders. There was plenty of shouts of swearing towards the en of the race and although they all talked to each other when they weren't trading there was no mention at all of how anyone had done and the term profit was obviously off limits.

Price - This was the big kick in the teeth for me! It cost 50 pounds for the session. 50 pounds would simply pay my own broadband for 3 months! I'm not tight but that is a lot of money for what you get.

In summary the place was ok but for the price it is simply a no go for pre race traders. If you go there you go there for the fast pictures. Everyone else there traded in play. I traded 17 races and was profitable for 16 so I had a pretty good strike rate. The one I lost I got caught in play! whoops! Would I go again?? probably not if I am honest. I would rather take my laptop and find a cheaper alternative.

Its not a bad place but simply too expensive for pre race trading. If you trade in running then you probably think the place is great.

a mirror of my experience, i found it hard to concentrate which was a big disadvantage to me as i am very easily distracted and plenty of distraction was available, but as you said friendly and nice enough guys but not really a pre race traders best option.
