I just want some informed chat from experts, I don't place win bets on nags and never will not my caper at all but the Gravy Train on British Horse Racing is quite remarkable. The whole industry needs turned upside down
billy hills used to be much better 5 or more years ago when there was " some informed chat from experts", but these days most presenters/pundits seem to be more about promoting themselves, but they are still better then most alternatives (my opinion) i trade with pictures on and the sound off, and bills hills providing the punditry between races and commentry. As i dont trade inplay, the lag on the sound is not a problem.

I've been listening to william hill radio regularly for a few months and I've learned virtually nothing about punting on the nags, if Andrew Mount was not a guest from time to time it would be nothing. Bring back betfair radio!
Yep. Particular on Racing TV.. All you ever here is.. Oh there's definitely value in this horse..

Just from today I heard... He was a nice price at 11/4, even backable at 5/2... But there's no value at 7/4.

Right OK... Can you explain why than lol.... You very rarely get an explanation as to why.

15:30 was the market of the day thanks to someone desperate to bet £22k on 'For Pleasure'

Edit; pushed down to <4.0 to get last of it matched!
I back this at 5.7, and again at 5.6 when it [Edit: the remaining £13.9K] was dragged down one tick... however, seeing some of you guys with blank ladders after spotting it earlier than me, makes me think I did a sucker play here and just happened to win on it...

Thanks to Stratford and Perth, another pre-race PB smashed today, and very nearly that illusive three figure green!

Damn! Those front-runners get smashed when they line up...

I'll have to make sure to have my FR list handy in future for summer jumps... :D

You're not alone ;) I traded it for £15 (but not back-to-lay) and then bet it as a freebet cause last minutes market kinda confirmed that gamble.

I've never seen a withdrawn horse be traded inplay before....
It happens all the time. People\bots don't know it's withdraw and people try to distort the overwound to trick bots.
An example of what can happen to book% when horse withdrawn but still traded inplay...
That's a nice looking spreadsheet. Is that available on the forum?

If the money is being matched then its genuine & going with it isn't a sucker play. I spotted it very early on, things like that a a big red thumb (it was me with the blank ladder) & the reason I didnt jump in front of it was because I already had a lay position open on the 2nd. That being backed was helping my position, so in a way I did benefit from it. I could of gained more by jumping in front but in-between managing my open position and taking snippets of the action I just never did.

One of these pops up every now and then but tbh it's the most I've personally seen at those odds.

I left this late as was drifting and didn't want to spoil the fun.

I've mentioned this before, there's no need to overhype a tip, especially when it's double figures. Just give a tip, forget about it when it loses, take satisfaction when it wins. :)

It's a nightmare trying to figure out the next US race with two meetings 15-20 minutes behind!

I work off Guardian Volume column, it usually paints clearest picture for me to know when worthwhile to begin, especially after 2-3 races.
Think my settings are something like active from -30m to +30m ; 1s refresh and store (i) IP volume @ IP (ii) minutes late/early

Obliged, sir! I'm a bit delicate, mentally, and only scanned though. In fact, reading back, yours was the only blank ladder, but in my mind that was 'everyone' :)

I saw a similar thing at Bath, 15:40 on 14th July. 12k just sat there at 2.18 after a big lay push. It never moved after it hit the market 12 mins out, even after being tested. Eventually it got fully matched in the last 60 secs, and another 11k ish appeared instantly at 2.14. Incredibly, I came out of that market with a red (I was so with consumed with this money, I forgot to look at the clock)....
