Definitely potential for Trump's price to come in (thats where my position is weighted) but I dont think it will get to 1.01
Trump's price was always going to come back in, even an idiot like me could see that 3 weeks ago.

As I said earlier in the thread I suspect there'll be many twists and turns in the market between now and November but imo its just 'market noise' on a massive scale. Nobody is going to know anything until election night and maybe not until weeks after that. I wouldn't be surprised if the book reverses and you see Biden heading for 3 before coming back in as I think the polls will narrow even more in the weeks ahead. Trump will probably be odds on come election day but I still think Biden will win the election.

Have to admit that this is becoming my favourite thread, even though I disagree with most of whats written on it its amazing to get an insight into the people behind the avatar.

Biden reversal which isn't surprising, hoping to get another lay matched at 1.75

And agree with the previous comments, nice to have a respectful discussion about something that most people find so divisive.

The Left went too woke.

I think American politics is coming to a point where there could be a genuine 3rd party option. Not sure how much appetite there would be in the States for it to happen but the Democratic Party could easily split with the 'progressives' forming there own party.

If the party goes too far too the left which seems to be where some people want it to go then I cant see how they can win an election.

I think you're not alone with that thought process, I remember Peter saying something similar a few moons back & I can't think of any reason as to why not.

Short term if would make the Republicans much more powerful but long term I think it would benefit everyone. Its amazing that in a country like the US the only choice you have is a binary one. Probably one of the reasons why people choose not to vote.

The Left, like the Right has splintered into moderates and a small number of very vocal extremists. Most people on the Left aren't 'woke' Cancel Culture "lefties", any more than most on the Right are gun wealding redneck racists.

Trouble is that when you say Left or Right these days the immediate image most peope have is of a ridiculous stereotype, rather than of a clear thinking reasonable person who just happens to have slightly different views.

What's happened is that Left and Right as been replaced with Liberal and Illiberal; tollerent and reasonable vs intollerent and unreasonable. Moderates on the Left and Right aren't that different, and neither are the extremists on the Left and Right.

I'm always tempted by this one, basically the odds of Joe getting ill (or dying) and Kamala winning.
The problem with these is waiting until market expiry gets close enough to make 1% a better return than you could get elsewhere over the same time period. 1% for nearly 3 months doesn't seem like a great yield yet even if it is a nailed on cert (famous last words)

But even if you took the whole lot you're only looking at about £130 gross so it's not worth the effort.

My comment was too broad, I meant by it that the Dems (Left) are pandering too much to the woke. I know that everyone on the left isn't some crazy lunatic with a cancel button, running around screaming fu*k, fu*k fu*k the right wing racist is about to detonate. Pretty much the same as i know that not everyone on the right is running around with a pitchfork on the hunt for immigrants or anyone who's not white.

I'm not the best at expressing myself coherently at the best of times, so i apologise for coming across ignorant, I blame it on the Stokie education system, thats my easy out. :D
