You'll have to become a US citizen and wait 4 years.

Its worked out well for me. I wanted to Trump's price to go odds on after the debate, which was a possibility until he made a food fight of it, so I could lay him some more. Now I can use that green to lay Biden instead when the market reopens. Be interesting to see how short he is..

He's 1.57 on Betdaq, I'm only using BD as good liquidity and no PC

Regardless of the Trump situation, if the Democrats win in November then a blood bath will soon explode country wide.

It’s rather scary watching these recent YT videos of militias up and down the country arming themselves with firearms and explosives.

I can just imagine who their targets will be.

You got to think it will have some effect on the price when the market reopens, even if only in the short term.

If the price moves much on BD over the coming days I can see some conspiracy theory's fired towards BF whenever they reopen there market and what happens to those with money waiting between the two prices

Don't understand why they suspended it, if Trump was at deaths door then fine but by all accounts he's OK. Luckily I don't have any open positions in the market but feel for others who might

Personally I don't think Betfair should suspend any market for any reason once it has begun, until the time arrives for it to be settled. That includes football markets and any/all others. The market will or will not determine the correct price.

The longer they keep it suspended, the harder it will be for them to bring it back safely. The rules are very clear on this one so people should be allowed to manage their own risk.

if this is one of the rules

"If any candidate withdraws for any reason, including death, all bets on the market will stand and be settled as per the defined rules."

It doesn't seem justified to suspend the market because a candidate is 'unwell' especially if one considers that how well each candidate is shielding themself from a widely publicised pandemeic is a reasonable weighting consideration given that the two leading candidates are 77 and 74 years of age.

My sympathy for Trump is exactly zero, but worse still than your scenario, as I'm sure people know, if Trump and Pence are unable to assume office, Pelosi would become president. The absolute scenes were that to happen
