During the first 7 months of 2020, 12 million guns were bought.Trader Pat wrote: ↑Thu Nov 05, 2020 6:24 pmIts easy to laugh at these people but then your realise these nutters have guns!

I realised that when I went to the comment section of some of these types of posts, as much as would hate to see it happen, from some of the things I've seen people talk about some type of conflict seems likely.Trader Pat wrote: ↑Thu Nov 05, 2020 6:24 pmIts easy to laugh at these people but then your realise these nutters have guns!
If voting fraud was found, then the Supreme Court may choose to allow him to serve a second term, or will call for re-election (possibly forcing the Democrats to choose a different leader) – but no one quite knows what would happen.
If no voting fraud is found, or if the Supreme Court turn down Trump’s case, and he refused to accept a Democratic win and hunkers down in the White House, then he will be forcible removed by the military.
If Joe Biden wins the election, then Mr Trump will lose his power at midday on January 20, 2021.

I wouldn't be surprised to see militia appearing on the street all over the place, going to be a bonkers few months in the US!jamesg46 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 05, 2020 6:31 pmI realised that when I went to the comment section of some of these types of posts, as much as would hate to see it happen, from some of the things I've seen people talk about some type of conflict seems likely.Trader Pat wrote: ↑Thu Nov 05, 2020 6:24 pmIts easy to laugh at these people but then your realise these nutters have guns!
I scrolled through some of the comments on Twitter yesterday and you realise how messed up some of these people are but some were funny too!

I doubt anybody could ever stoop so low as Trump.

Generel Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, has already stated that the U.S. Armed Forces will have no role in carrying out the election process or resolving a disputed vote.Derek27 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 05, 2020 6:44 pmIf voting fraud was found, then the Supreme Court may choose to allow him to serve a second term, or will call for re-election (possibly forcing the Democrats to choose a different leader) – but no one quite knows what would happen.

“I believe deeply in the principle of an apolitical U.S. military,” Milley said in written responses to several questions posed by two Democratic members of the House Armed Services Committee. “In the event of a dispute over some aspect of the elections, by law U.S. courts and the U.S. Congress are required to resolve any disputes, not the U.S. military. I foresee no role for the U.S armed forces in this process.”

It wouldn't be interfering in politics, the politics would be over and a squatter is in the Whitehouse, which would be a national security issue. If Trump's security walks out it could just be a job for the police or FBI.Archery1969 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 05, 2020 7:35 pmGenerel Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, has already stated that the U.S.

On Sky News there's been a suggestion that Trump might surrender insisting that he was cheated and hasn't lost and plan to come back in 4 years. I'd like to think he'll be forgotten and confined to history by then.

This could all quickly get out of hand:

Facebook removes group calling for 'civil war' over election
Marianna Spring

A huge viral Facebook group spreading unsubstantiated claims that there is a Democratic party plot to “steal” the election has been removed by the social media firm.
Among the comments inside the group were threats of violence and calls for civil war and revolution.
A Facebook spokesperson says it took action because of “worrying calls for violence” in the group “which was creating real-world events".
“Stop the Steal” was set up yesterday had more than 330,000 members before it was taken down. Posts called for its members to take to the streets in the event that Joe Biden is declared the next US president.
Dozens of comments went much further and encouraged people to take up arms or even shoot their political opponents. Some threatened rioting and looting.
The group taken down by Facebook was the by far the largest of a handful of “Stop the Steal” forums set up since election day. On Tuesday, a “#StoptheSteal” label gained a bit of popularity on Twitter, and included baseless and misleading claims of voter fraud and dirty tricks.
Similar claims have been circulating in the Facebook group. The allegations include some of the ones we’ve debunked here.
Facebook says it removed the group “in line with the exceptional measures that we are taking during this period of heightened tension”. It also said the group "was organised around the delegitimisation of the election process”.
