In case anyone didn't see it on Sky News, Omarosa Newton, Trump's former aid, spilt the beans on Trump. During his 4 years in office he played golf 365 times. His entire security detail would have to stay at Trump's hotel at huge cost to the taxpayer. Each caesar salad they consumed cost $74 dollars!

On top of that he cheated at golf! He lied about how many swings he took to get out of the bunker or moved the ball. Opponents were under pressure to let him win!

What’s wrong with that ? 😂

From what I have read he screwed over allot of businesses and banks. Currently he owes $1.3 billion in debts and that’s before what he owes the IRS.

He could very well end up in prison in the coming months and years. There is an agreement that the courts and IRS don’t go after sitting presidents. But they may well do after 20th January 2021.

It’s really odd that you can still back Biden @ 1.05. Seems as though the market thinks there is going to be another twist to the saga.
It may be also an effect of the participants in the market - Trump may have lost and have little hope but he hasn't conceded - even as a loser he still had around 48% of the popular vote - if only a fraction still 'believe' as he does then its reasonable to think they won't all be cashing in their huge reds just now. - Then there is the fact that many millions have hedged greens - but how many are converting them to 'free bets' on Biden ? Even as you wrote you were putting something on Trump at 28's

That's exactly what Omarosa said. Once the dust has settled on his presidency, there could be an investigation on how much he made from federal funds spent at his hotel. One thing's for certain, the entertainment will continue. :D

It's sort of worrying, but fascinating to see him sort of have a mental breakdown while in office.

I'm pretty sure people have been sectioned for less unstable behaviour.

But can you even put an ex US president in prison, how would it work with his Secret Service detail, bet they will be well pissed off with basically being locked up until he snuffs it, even if they take shifts ?

More likely house arrest in florida for 30 years probably. While his wife is pumping the personal trainer next door.

He might not be having a mental breakdown, he might be like this every time he loses at golf! ;)

From what I have been reading it’s very likely Trump will be prosecuted after leaving office for a number of reasons. But the consensus seems to be that no prison time would be served if found guilty of a nonviolent crime. There would be a plea bargain and/or the current president would pardon him. Apparently it wouldn’t be good for the USA to send an ex president to prison.

Although ex president Grant did spend 48 hours in jail for a speeding offence.

Nancy Polski kept banging on about the fact that no president is above the law, but if a president can pardon anyone they want, they really are!

Set an example Joe, let them bang him up. :D

I do hope the Trump brand becomes TOXIC worldwide. They are a dreadful clan of grifters.

But wouldnt the senate get involved and basically say pardon him or all legilsation will get blocked ?

Some people are above the law though. Most diplomats are immune from prosecution.

And our Queen cannot be prosecuted although its unlikely she would break the law in the first place.

You might be closer to the truth than you realise.

His business acumen, to some extent reminds me of Robert Maxwell. RM defaulted £50million in bank loans and raided the pension funds to shore up his business interests. Ended up by "falling off" his yacht on the same day he should have been at a meeting with the banks.

Trump strikes me as the same type of person, who has been made bankrupt at least 6 times and has paid less tax than Mrs Miggins the cleaner. This adds up to someone who will do almost anything to shaft someone, so lets see in the next few years how all this plays out...

Reading an article at the moment on how the IRS has been underfunded since 2016. This has led to most of the top investigators/accountants/legal teams leaving or being let go. Some believe that Trump and his team did this on purpose knowing that they wouldn't then be upto the task of investigating him properly. I wonder. :o
