LOL I'm laying trump at 10/1 - but I'm not getting any takers.
US Presidential Election 2020
Yeah - it’s a little easier to lay to USA based customers who have no international outs

I'd like to see a few scumbags in UK prisons given the death penalty
the timing - displaying his *godlike* characteristics... his will over life or death. if you don't see the real picture here, then you're not thinking critically enough on trumps vanity and ego.LeTiss wrote: ↑Fri Dec 11, 2020 1:20 pmWhat's nasty about that?jimibt wrote: ↑Fri Dec 11, 2020 12:59 pmi sometimes forget what a nasty piece of work the current president is: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-55261224

He's executing them not for their crimes but for his own personal satisfaction or stress relief.LeTiss wrote: ↑Fri Dec 11, 2020 1:20 pmWhat's nasty about that?jimibt wrote: ↑Fri Dec 11, 2020 12:59 pmi sometimes forget what a nasty piece of work the current president is: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-55261224

I reckon Trump's next move will be an executive order to execute any supreme court judge that doesn't support him!
The saying, never slap a child when you're angry springs to mind.

Do presidents really have time to think about these things (individual cases)? or have any power to change it? I don't know that much about politics, but wouldn't he have all kinds of other stuff to do?
It's not like he can just cruise down to every court case in the land, sit in and go yes, well, hmmm, this is the moral judgement...
I don't see how its even remotely something he'd have space or time for...
Maybe I am wrong about that
, but I don't see the point of mentioning trump in that article either...like...it's purpose is to incite tribal sides? right? just dumbass journalism stuff...

Finally. Done and dusted. What a terrible attack on democracy. Think on US citizens for 2024.

We bid Trump farewell, last nail in the coffin of this arsehole hopefully
"The court's order, issued with no public dissents, to dismiss the challenge is the strongest indication yet that Trump has no chance of overturning election results in court, and that even the justices whom he placed there have no interest in allowing his desperate legal bids to continue.
The Electoral College will convene Monday to affirm Biden's win."

It may be the last nail in Trump's coffin, but sadly, the winging and conspiracy theories will continue.Zenyatta wrote: ↑Sat Dec 12, 2020 1:24 amWe bid Trump farewell, last nail in the coffin of this arsehole hopefully![]()

His tendencies are well documented . This case was one chance for him to tilt the scale of justice And right some wrongs.jimibt wrote: ↑Fri Dec 11, 2020 1:26 pmthe timing - displaying his *godlike* characteristics... his will over life or death. if you don't see the real picture here, then you're not thinking critically enough on trumps vanity and ego.LeTiss wrote: ↑Fri Dec 11, 2020 1:20 pmWhat's nasty about that?jimibt wrote: ↑Fri Dec 11, 2020 12:59 pmi sometimes forget what a nasty piece of work the current president is: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-55261224

It’s a high profile case and he is using it to please his base and act macho tough while pardoning his partners in crime .
Not to mean I don’t support capital punishment where it’s applicable , but the state must use it with utmost care . It shouldn’t be used to score selfish political points.
Look at him doing just that

Cults have a tendency of committing political suicide. He will soon be demanding self cleansing sacrifice from his loyalists. They will swear him in as the president of the people’s republic of trump.Derek27 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 12, 2020 1:41 amIt may be the last nail in Trump's coffin, but sadly, the winging and conspiracy theories will continue.Zenyatta wrote: ↑Sat Dec 12, 2020 1:24 amWe bid Trump farewell, last nail in the coffin of this arsehole hopefully![]()

I see what you're saying.
Personally, I have no issues with the death penalty.
If you have someone in prison for appalling crimes and will never be released, what's the point of keeping them? They are of no use to anyone, and are just a drain on the public purse
