You can't blame that problem on masks - it's the people wearing them!
"Guns don't kill people, people do" ?
Guns are dangerous when used incorrectly - but they're even more dangerous when used correctly - which makes them dangerous. :)

Not only are masks safe when used correctly but they're very simple to use, it's just that people can't be arsed to cover their noses or keep their distance. When I was buying my cigarettes today the woman behind the counter politely asked the queue to space themselves out. Some silly cow in the queue got stroppy with her and pointed out another man who wasn't keeping his distance.
Is that a recognition of the problem and a denial of the problem?

It's a recognition of a problem. I was just arguing over who/what is to blame for it.

At least you recognise there is a problem. It doesn't seem so damn crazy that Alex has questions now does it! His questions may be way out to you, but he's a real person with a real concern. He's as relevant as you are and so are his thoughts.

Pat with his cheerleader skills are about as baseless as his Twitter timeline, nobody responds, nobody cares... I thought he actually had a brain cell until I looked.

He doesn't have questions, he's given an opinion that is arguably dangerous - people who don't take the virus seriously encourage its spread. He's a real person but doesn't engage with the points you put to him, he just ignores them and posts more fancy charts.

Given his background knowledge in statistics and psychology, I would be interested to hear detailed opinions on the pandemic from Euler on Youtube, but I'm sure he is sitting this one out for obvious reasons like most people

I don't really watch the BBC, but I've met Peter and I'd say he's a bit more Sky than BBC, bit more of a maverick. I've never been invited to the BA Christmas party though

Come to think of it I haven't gotten a BA mug either, not sure what that says about me

The emotional response is being triggered and overriding the logical part of peoples brains, I'm surprised that so many successful traders who rely on the same concept to trade profitably cannot see through it
In order to be successful you need to be aware of the limit of your knowledge. You can be ignorant about horse racing but still trade it successfully by trading in a manner that doesn't require knowledge.

I'm ignorant about the science behind the virus so I trust the scientific advice that's strikes me as most credible, whereas you appear to believe what you want and search for evidence to support it, ignoring anything that doesn't. It's pointless analysing statistics when highly qualified people do it full time.

I used to spend my time doing that also but then I realised that the digital world is like a map full of mirrors.

Whoever you want, whenever you want & however you want. Calling it out is a waste of time.
