CNN's less forgiving. One speech doesn't forgive all his sins.
US Presidential Election 2020
Surely Pence mused that just before he fell asleep ever since election night.
Thirteen more days of this madness to endure.
I wonder if Trump resigns, Pence gets sworn in, becomes 46 and then Pence does the handover. Trump does that a day or so before hand so he doesn't have to "endure" the hand over and can be off into the sulky wilderness. (Plus he has the added bonus that Biden folk have to ditch all the pre-purchased "46" hats).
My interest now is whether the GOP can throw off Trump. At least the Dems came up with a moderate centric mainstream candidate. Can the GOP do that next time around or does the GOP have to go to near ruin before sensible centre right candidates can emerge from the smouldering wrekage. None of what gave rise to Trump in terms of the economy are going away any time soon so (depressingly) I guess it could all happen again.
I've just read the Senate can block someone from ever running for office again, they've done it twice in the 1800's but I think the Dems would be foolish to make it happen...Trump could run for the GOP nomination which he shouldn't win anyway but would bring negative publicity to the party or he could run as an Independent where you'd say he'd get 10-15% of the vote which would mainly be comparised of GOP voters.
Keeping Trump relevant was the winning strategy for Biden in 2020

It's been a long night, but I've enjoyed hearing the hatred build up against Trump, even from Republicans.
Knightwire, do you still think Betfair will pay for your Lamborghini even though they've settled the market and with no more objections Trump's loss will be finalised?
Or do you think IBAS will adjudicate in your favour even though Trump's lost?
Or will your lawsuit that doesn't exist as such as yet, eventually exist as such and succeed?

If they're questioning whether Trump's got the mental capacity for office now, is there any chance of him being capable in 4 years time, even if he is a free man?Naffman wrote: ↑Thu Jan 07, 2021 5:49 amI've just read the Senate can block someone from ever running for office again, they've done it twice in the 1800's but I think the Dems would be foolish to make it happen...Trump could run for the GOP nomination which he shouldn't win anyway but would bring negative publicity to the party or he could run as an Independent where you'd say he'd get 10-15% of the vote which would mainly be comparised of GOP voters.

He's having a complete mental breakdown now, would people who vote for him in 2024 expect him to lead the country until 2028? And would he have another mental breakdown when he has to leave office because he can't stay for a 3rd term - it would be a rigged constitution.
"Congress certifies Biden's win"

"Congress has just affirmed President-elect Joe Biden's Electoral College victory over President Trump."
We say goodbye to Trump as they cart him off to the asylum , where he still insists 'I won in a landslide' , and we also lament his room-mate Knightwire, who insists he too will ''win huge' any day soon and forever demands his lambo from Betfair.
