True.

I probably should just unsubscribe from this thread! It's had some good banter though - it's a shame about things getting personal at times, though. It's a shame that people can't just cheerfully agree to disagree (and, heaven forbid, be open to having their views challenged by alternative perspectives).

Good thanks. Hope you're well too. Yeah, I still have a bash at the nags when not busy but very much a part-timer these days.

We need some alternative views on the subject. Don't waste too much of your time here though - they just attack you, or your source, or both, rather than argue a case.

A. Toby Young is not the devil (and if he were, I'm sure he could pick a better advocate than me!).

B. I think I've made my position clear (and there is no need for the slightly condescending tone - stick to the facts and the arguments, and play the ball, not the man!).

Have a nice day! :D

Do you actually have an opinion or do you just like playing devil's advocate?
That was a serious question and wasn't intended as a jibe. If you made your position clear I must have missed it but you usually put forward arguments without appearing to be behind it.

In the sense that I said there was no comparison!

As I said in my previous post, I haven't watched it. But the very fact that you're comparing him to QAnon/David Icke.....
You are making a comparison by claiming there is no comparison! Perhaps I should have said, the fact that you're defending him from being compared to QAon/David Icke...

Covid vaccine: 72% of black people unlikely to have jab, UK survey finds
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2021/ ... vid-jab-uk
"Historical issues of unethical healthcare research, and structural and institutional racism and discrimination, are key reasons for lower levels of trust in the vaccination programme, a report from Sage said."
I had a feeling it would be someone else's fault before I read it.

Careful Derek, it's from the Guardian this one.

What are you saying?

In my (limited) dealings with Frank, I've always found him to be a good bloke.

He must be a decent bloke if he's endorsed by superfrank.
I'm not suggesting superfrank isn't a decent person, the comment was more based on his views.

Not quite sure why you expect me to be provoked by that, it's everybody's free choice to have the jab.

Yes, but that's hardly relevant to this discussion, as no-one here believes that's what's happening (correct me if I'm wrong).

However, there are Covid sceptics in the forum - people who look at the official narratives with a critical eye, without denying that Covid is real - and I count myself amongst them.
I certainly will correct you for being wrong - Alex does!

I just wonder if trading pre-off will be easier after all the pro traders who take the vaccine become mind controlled by Bill Gates, or if everything will even out with less liquidity overall

I think that most traders on here are pretending that the virus is real and the vaccine is a good thing in hope that other traders take it, so that when Bill Gates flicks a switch on his control panel they then have a bigger share of the market whilst those vaccinated big players have been mind controlled into mining lithium for electric car batteries instead

Regarding various covid denial theories, I feel compelled to repost invisiblelayer's post.
Yes, it's long and requires some concentration (unlke Toby's 250 character drivel) but it's interesting from the beginning as to where the quillete contributor's background on covid. I'd be interested in Sweetlyrics and Superfrank's opinions. And thanks to invisblelayer for a post that tries to explore the issue without barking down my neck.

I didn't really. It's just that you normally get stuck into anything I post.

+1 re freedom of choice. We'll make a libertarian of you yet!

You may disagree with Toby Young - that's fine - but he is a highly logical and intelligent man, not a fantasist. I guess you'd have to be to get a first from Oxford.

I'm afraid you can't shrug his arguments away by dismissing him as some QAnon/David Icke type.

...... or perhaps the headcase against lockdowns?
From Wikipedia.
"Young was educated at Creighton School (now Fortismere School), Muswell Hill and King Edward VI Community College, Totnes. He left school at 16 having failed all but one of his O Levels, a C in English Literature,[15] and worked under a Government Youth Training Scheme[citation needed]. He then retook his O Levels and went to the Sixth Form of William Ellis School, Highgate, leaving with two Bs and a C at A Level. Despite thus failing to achieve the College's BBB offer, he was given a place at Brasenose College, Oxford."

Privilege. Not intelligence.

Privilege may have gotten him in (debatable, but who cares anyway?).

Ability and hard work got him a first.
