My heart sunk when the Southhampton goal was ruled offside but at least VAR delayed the sinking feeling for 60 seconds.

Apparently, if the offside guy was wearing shorter sleeves it might have been a goal! I find it quite mind-boggling how the end of a sleeve can be used to determine offside. Does the FA specify how long sleeves should be? Don't bigger guys with XXXL shirts need longer sleeves? It should be where the shoulder meets the arm.
