This is a good point, I wonder if things will improve for the rest of the tournament given that the group games no longer clash with racing.PapaShango wrote: ↑Sun Jun 27, 2021 9:09 am
If it’s just the last couple of weeks that have been a problem, then I wouldn’t worry about it too much. Summer horse racing markets always seem to thin out when there is a major football tournament on. Wimbledon starts next week too which probably won’t help either.
Would anyone review my trading?

Don't be an arse.
Doesn't help to derail what is technically a newbie thread either. Expecting better examples to be set by the 2 most active contributors, with great postcounts should come greater responsibility and all that.ShaunWhite wrote: ↑Sat Jun 26, 2021 9:19 pmIt's a 45yr habit, started when I was 12. But it's an acca I (we!) need to cash out of before it's one too many.
I agree. Said it before but I always thought a video analysis forum section is something that is sorely missing, not much going on anyway so could revitalize the forum as well.PapaShango wrote: ↑Sun Jun 27, 2021 9:09 amSomeone asks for help with his trading, and the only advice they get is about how to give up smoking !
You’re best off sticking the videos on here, Alex. Probably get more of a response that way.

Given that you're keen for good examples to be set by forum members with high post counts and for video analysis to become part of the forum, when should we expect to see some videos of your trades Kai?Kai wrote: ↑Sun Jun 27, 2021 9:51 am

I think we would need permission first but I reckon as soon as that ball started rolling it would end up being a monster of a thread. BTW, I read your breathing comment & I think I'll give it a goarbitrage16 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 27, 2021 9:54 amGiven that you're keen for good examples to be set by forum members with high post counts and for video analysis to become part of the forum, when should we expect to see some videos of your trades Kai?Kai wrote: ↑Sun Jun 27, 2021 9:51 am

This is a very good question, though I think there's some answers also. Pre horse racing is a very available market and usually gives plenty of action in every case. For those reasons it's a constant arena to use (or very frequently available at least). Plus, many come from horse betting, so have some degree of knowledge. That may, or may not, help in trading those markets, which is very double-edged. But, it presents as a 'familiar' domain for many who turn to trading.ShaunWhite wrote: ↑Sat Jun 26, 2021 7:17 pmBut generally why do people start on pre-off UK horses ?!!! Everyone knows it's hardest there is. I guess you all do it just because Peter does it? And would you chuck yourself down a black run just because you'ev seen Franz Klammer do it? Peter does it because Peter can. I suppose it comes down to whether you want to watch horseracing every day or make some money.
Realistically I would only consider it if I need a visa or something, but already shared some recordings with about a dozen members like Shaun or Derek albeit less relevant bits and pieces.arbitrage16 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 27, 2021 9:54 amGiven that you're keen for good examples to be set by forum members with high post counts and for video analysis to become part of the forum, when should we expect to see some videos of your trades Kai?
Don't see why newbies would need permission to upload short Bet Angel ladder clips to ask others wtf went wrong with their trade or market for educational purposes etc, among other things it promotes the software as well. Obviously not to be abused for showing off and commercial stuff. Problem is if Alex doesn't use BA then can't really upload, I don't use BA either, only indirectly, I use 2 diff softwares for different stuff as none has everything I want.
But would potentially be like Goat thread only more detailed and constructive and helpful, since anyone can chip in on any relevant race or market and point out obvious newbie mistakes. Seen it work well elsewhere, just a question of how much do experienced traders want to help the newbies.

It would be good if lots of people contributed but somehow I think it would probably end up like 100+ people leeching for every person that posts a public video. Suppose people don't have much reason to show what they are doing unless they are a total newbie, and most people don't have any reason to go out their way to help them.jamesg46 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 26, 2021 7:31 pmPost a link to the video on the forum. I'd love to have a thread dedicated to random videos from all traders... I could sit and watch for days. Probably be a good thread to start but we better check it's OK to do that first. I'd contribute with some of my good, bad & ugly trades too. Could be a good laugh and a constructive way of bouncing off of each others critiques.
Me and a couple of other people used to share trading videos in a Whatsapp group but it's hard to say if there's much benefit to it since it's not an easily transferable skill otherwise everyone who watched trading videos on YT would be profitable within a few weeks
So you would have helped me if I didn't try and save you from Gates?Derek27 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 27, 2021 9:19 amSerious advice: If you believe Covid-19 is a government conspiracy and the millions of deaths haven't really happened or would have happened anyway, you're bound to really struggle with trading, because trading is all about what's really happening in a market, not what you believe is, should or would like to happen.
I don't know if you were serious about your comments regarding Bill Gates pushing the market against you. I'm not even sure how serious you were about his chip that takes over your brain. But you certainly haven't made it easy for yourself to get help on this forum!

Shame you don't have the same compassion to save me from the market and would rather post about how Tesco didn't have any beer, a bird done droppings on your arm and that your washing machine broke down

Don't assume that getting someone to look at your trading is a straightforward solution, it's likely far more complicated than that. What I'm saying is your bizarre beliefs doesn't strike me as compatible with trading, which requires logic and critical thinking.alexmr2 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 27, 2021 3:26 pmSo you would have helped me if I didn't try and save you from Gates?Derek27 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 27, 2021 9:19 amSerious advice: If you believe Covid-19 is a government conspiracy and the millions of deaths haven't really happened or would have happened anyway, you're bound to really struggle with trading, because trading is all about what's really happening in a market, not what you believe is, should or would like to happen.

You can't be "saved" from the markets because they are not endangering you, it's a choice to get involved in the markets.

I've done more than my share of helping people, tbh for months on end I used to help people more than the ones who actually profit from the subs! I did actually give the guy some proper advice a few posts earlier, and my comment was just a brief response to someone else. I'm not falling out with you kai, we're buddies, but jeez gimme a break

Hehe, you're right, although that's sorta the point, I know Alex alienated a lot of people but I think Derek should give the kid a break if he's humbly asking for help with stuff. Same with like James and MF, why not give people a second chance and wipe the slate clean if they're contributing etc.ShaunWhite wrote: ↑Sun Jun 27, 2021 8:41 pmI'm not falling out with you kai, we're buddies, but jeez gimme a break
Interesting but not feasible.
The excitement of a collective trading channel will dwindle faster than the interest to carry on .
contributors running on other softwares alongside BA, seems to be norm . Which leaves a lot of questions unanswered.
I am assuming BA. has a subscription membership
Of 100’s if not 1000’s. strong silent majority lurking in the background , why don’t they contribute…. Are they so successful and don’t have time to share?

What sort of comment is this. I thought the forum is there to help traders to learn.
