On a bank holiday .. I sort or expect to be asked, 'what is your minimum bet' ? and, if they are potless, will grudgingly take £1.

At cheltenham .. in Tatts .. was asked for a 50p e.w bet.

Have people been asleep for the last 10 yrs .. a racecourse coffee is £2-3 .. Entry was £30. These people should stay at home/play bingo on their phone.

I am rapidly becoming less tolerent to idiots, almost daily. Expect maximum contrbutions from me.

The Great unwashed are *******
Would the starred out bit begin with a 'Wubble - u' and end in a 'es?' ;-)

flipping sick of this weather. Not only do I have to endure the worst summer in living memory but I now have to put up with that crackpot who goes out with is camera whenever it rains.

I bet from his perspective you're the crackpot. Maybe every time he sees a football match on TV he mutters to himself "that crackpot next door is probably scalping the draw again with his ladders".

Once again, a cyclist comes down a narrow pavement, I step aside and he whizzes past without so much as a nod or thank you. I should have put my fist out and let him smack into it.

Where I am we have no such issues. I regularly have drivers waving me across when I'm on a central refuge in the middle of the road. Generally, people will greet you in passing when out for a walk.
When I lived in Brum it was different. Rude people. Car wheels nicked, car nicked, car vandalsed, 1 successful burglary, 1 interrupted burglary (luckily they scarpered as I tried to get into my house).
Thats the dynamic. Squish people together and they get ambivalent about others, or criminal. And I've always thought behaviour is self-perpetuating. Hate breeds hate, love breeds love. But being nice is difficult in a city.
You're going to tell me you live in a quiet village now aren't you? And the cyclist was the local vicar! :-)

I remember walking the Cleveland Way in the North Yorkshire Moors with my brother when I was 17. Having lived in London all our lives at the time, we were pretty astounded to find when we were stuck in a village without a B&B, we could just knock on somebody's door. Elderly people would invite us in, give us tea and biscuits and phone a B&B for us. Sometimes they'd even drive us there.

At the time, if you knocked on the door of an elderly person in London they'd open it with a chain lock and look frightened as hell - now they wouldn't even open the door to a stranger!

flipping trading advert after every song!

There's some idiot with an advert at least 10 minutes long about trading software that makes you rich. If I'm out of the room at the time it plays, so YouTube probably think I'm watching it and want to see it again. :x

I'd rather give my money to the penny shavers put out of business than YouTube.

Told you the MetOffice was unreliable. :-)
Plus. What are you watering your lawn with. We're close to a hosepipe ban up here! :-)

The MET office is reliable, it's the flipping BBC app, it doesn't update until it starts raining!

I've uninstalled and I'm now using The Weather Channel. Bad news is the longer-term forecast. The heatwave that was predicted is now off the menu. High pressure is now forecast to be weaker and further north than previously expected. A woman who's not yet pregnant could have her baby before I get another chance to sit in my garden drinking beer. :(

I gave up scalping the draw a while ago in preference for the over/under markets - he wouldn't know anything about that. Most people's understanding of over/under involve the presence of a woman, but his only understanding is either being over a lightning strike or under it.

Bluetooth, my arse....it literally doesn't penetrate it!

Went out with the headphones to put the recycled waste out, popped my phone into my back pocket and the sound immediately starts crackiling.

When I eventually get the phone out of my pocket it goes into fast-forward mode for 30 seconds to catch up!

I was on the verge of buying a new phone because my current one's not charging or only charges to 70%. Now I realise it was the USB lead. I thought a USB lead either works or it doesn't!
