They can be identified by their personal equipment, such as radios, night-vision, etc. I heard years ago there are some experts working of militaries that can analyse human shit, work out what the owner of it was eating and consequently what part of the world they're from. Not sure it that would be any use now as diets are diverse and you could simply give them Russian food.![]()

That's really looking at the situation through Putin's lens: "Russia only made a simple demand". Not sure that tit understands the meaning of the word demand.jamesg46 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 27, 2022 11:57 pmLooking at the situation from outside of our lens.

If you watch all of the links I’ve posted, nobody in the east seems to see it the way the west does. I think Putin is right to stand up against the west, you’ll find most Ukrainian people agree, they don’t want to be apart of NATO…. Heck, most people who are morally conscious in the west don’t want to be part of NATO. It’s a war machine, it can only thrive through war.Derek27 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 28, 2022 12:11 amThat's really looking at the situation through Putin's lens: "Russia only made a simple demand". I haven't got time to look at all your links but when you say nobody in the east, I take it you mean not many people? How many people did you survey?jamesg46 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 28, 2022 12:29 amIf you watch all of the links I’ve posted, nobody in the east seems to see it the way the west does. Fair point there Derek… I can only go off a small sample. I guess that is a lesson for us all.Derek27 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 28, 2022 12:46 amI haven't got time to look at all your links but when you say nobody in the east, I take it you mean not many people? If you think about it though, would you feel threatened if India, Pakistan, China and Russia formed a creeping alliance towards the west… all of them nuclear powers having the capability of hitting us in minuets? It’s pretty obvious Russia did what they needed to do.
I disagree. It's not a lesson for us all, just people who rely on small surveys.jamesg46 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 28, 2022 12:52 amFair point there Derek… I can only go off a small sample. If those four countries formed a pact that would be worrying, but they're entitled to do it and we can't stop them. If you're saying Russia needed to invade Ukraine, I guess you're simply adopting a different provocative view, as you usually do, just to be different.
The fact you're missing here is all ex-USSR states had the chance to align with Russia or Nato and all except Belarus (governed by a nutter) chose Nato. And "chose" is very, very important word here.jamesg46 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 28, 2022 12:52 amFair point there Derek… I can only go off a small sample. Those four countries have an alliance. China produces 80% of our product. Good luck to the west!Derek27 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 28, 2022 1:08 amI disagree. You are angry with the world! There's good and bad in the world, always has been. It's just a question of what you like to dwell on?
Try and think of the positive aspects of humanity. Poland opening their doors to as many desperate Ukrainians as necessary, giving them food, clothes, toiletries, volunteer drivers taking them wherever they need to go. One guy drove all the way from the Czech Republic to the Ukrainian border to help out. I'm quite happy with humanity.
