The russian rhetoric isn't easing and sounds very confrontational. It feels like things are going to get worse before they get better.

There's a fine line between great tv and a total car crash of an interview!

Make sure to watch to the very end :D

Looks like Macron has been made to look like a complete muppet by Putin.

"There call today, Putin told him he wants all of Ukraine back"

This will have to end in WW3.
I think it's the other way around. Putin made the call to Macron only to be told that he's deluding himself with his genocide claims.

Putin had a minute silence for the fallen Russian soldiers.....but got bored after 10 seconds and carried on talking.
Misheard that, it was a moment's silence, not a minute of silence. Makes sense now, a whole minute would be a waste of his time.

Now I'm scared. Rory Stewart just described Putin as 'increasingly deranged'. But on the plus side he believes razing Kyiv would be unacceptable to the average Russian.
I confess I'm biased here. I like Rory I think he's a decent man.

Merkel closing down those nuclear power plants was a terrible decision.
Might have been a good idea in the light of today's news. :)

Didn't Ukraine give up its Nuclear weapons on the understanding the west would protect it. Bet they wish they kept them now. And who knows, maybe they didn't hand all of them over or gave a false number to start with.

Yes the Budapest memorandum. Along with the West, Russia gave assurances to respect Ukraine's borders and sovereignty and provided security assurances. Almost funny when you read about it now.

Yeah considering this and nato's broken promise not to expand to eastern europe this all is a one big bloody fckn circus in which we all have to be spectators against our will.

Yes they broke promises but I'd rather live in a world of NATO than a world of Putin.

I don't see an alternative to NATO. If it was disbanded tomorrow then Putin and his ilk would be free to invade any country they wanted.

NATO is far from perfect but its better than nothing imo.

Why don't all the people who own second homes in this country and in the EU offer to house Ukraine refugees for free :?:

Nuclear missiles aren't that easy to hide. They need launch pads and other facilities that can be seen from satellite images. That's how they spotted launch sites in Cuba.
