Jeremy Hunt: We're a country that pays our debts [45 years late].
...was any interest paid on refunding the debt? If not, cheapest loan ever! lol
I'd guess the sum included interest but on a more serious note, if it was a genuine debt that we owed, why wasn't it paid?

Our government say that long-bearded idiot came into power in Iran (won't name him for fear of death sentence) and they were worried about the money going into terrorist hands, but not much has changed besides the beard getting shorter. By Hunt's own admission, we owed them the money, so it appears the only way Iran managed to get money duly owed back was by kidnapping an innocent woman and holding her hostage for 6 years.

If Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe’s release was due to the £400M debt being paid you have to question why it wasn't paid 6 years ago, if not 45 years ago. Somebody's got questions to answer.

£9.75 sounds a lot for a sandwich as well.
Here's a shocker for you Derek. I stayed in London for a couple of days this week (wife's birthday, Maluma gig at the O2} and 4 (FOUR) drinks in the hotel bar...... £72. and tbh it was only a mid-priced place not the Ritz.

On the plus side, first proper trip out post covid and so nice to be around crowds of people again especially with them being predominantly young Latinas. ;)

I'm drinking on my own tomorrow night. £11 for a 15-pack of Carlsburg Export from Iceland, £10 for a pack of fags, £5.50 for a donner kebab but I'll probably cook something, and about 60 pence for a treat for the cat. :D

The Taliban have delayed opening girl schools because they need more time to decide what uniform they should wear.

Back at the start of their current reign I suggested they may have evolved. It seems like they haven't. I'm afraid I see the taliban as medieval, they're stuck in a warped religious interpretation. So sad for those young people.

That sounds unhealthy, you should only have a kebab as a rare treat and I think you are drinking far too much these days.

I know it isn't easy but I would also look into stopping smoking to save your health and some extra money

Kebabs are very rare treats for me. I usually have a pizza. :)

+1 Listen to your dad Derek.

Gave up smoking, drinking and smoking in mid 20s, possibly the best decision I ever made 👍 Even coffee stopped making sense without cigs.

On the positive side, at least you have one. If you don’t already do so, I can recommend using a heat mat in the future. I improved my germination strike rate drastically this year with the use of one. Onions, peppers, tomatoes, no problem.

Don't be too hasty. My lemon chillies came up in a week but after 4 weeks I was on the verge of chucking the dud jalepenos. But voilà, 4/4 have broken the surface this week. Some are just a bit on the slow side.

100% agree about the bottom heat but switch it off once you get true leaves. If roots are hotter than foliage the plant can go into some sort of reverse and not absorb nutes properly. According to GQT anyway.

Yes good advice, Shaun. I just used my heat mat to germinate them, then once they poke their heads above the soil and show first leaves , I take them off the heat an pop them on the windowsill. Otherwise, as you say, it can cook them and be counter productive.
