Horse racing place market question

On the search markets list you can select "Horse racing - Place only" which seems a very generic term. Can I assume that this defaults to 2 places always, or is that a dangerous assumption? As I also noticed you can select each "x TBP" markets using custom search, would it be wiser to use "2 TBP" instead?

I know how to find all the different TBP markets, it was more a general question on the markets with "Place" in the name i.e. are they set by Betfair so could be 2,3 or 4 and if so how would we know what it was.

I always thought it was :
5 runnners - 2 places
6 runners - 3 places
7+ runners - 4 places

I used the place market for the 1:20 Leicester on Tuesday and correctly backed the first 3 runners, but it only paid out for 2 places not 3 as I would of expected.
