Next Prime Minister / Tory Party Leader
Out of the three of them Truss has by far the least broad appeal across the electorate so would be Labours best chance of a winning the next election
But they don’t care about winning the next general election, sounds odd doesn’t it. They care about revenge. They see Sunak as a backstabber and Truss as the BJ loyalist. The nation might be sick of Boris but the party still hold him dear.
Truss now odds on. Sunak and his team need to think very hard about this. Does he feel he can win the membership around? If not, for the sake of the country, step aside when Penny gets knocked out.
We can’t have this dragging on for another month whilst we have a government not functioning.
Dreading the Truss premiership. She is going to make BJ look statesmanlike

Been a remarkable turn around by her since that first disastrous TV debateVaz0202 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 20, 2022 3:33 pmTruss now odds on. Sunak and his team need to think very hard about this. Just wish I'd held my lay position on Mordaunt just a little longer, until a day or so ago I thought she was ready to shorten up again.

Membership goes with Truss hands down.
And I get to vote.
And I get to vote.

Liz Truss is a poor communicator, she will be DEVOURED by media and Kier Starmer at PMQs. As for her tosspot trade deals with the likes of New Zealand that make us all worse off they will come back and haunt her.

When did you join? You may be disappointed that new members don't have a vote.Archery1969 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 20, 2022 4:13 pmMembership goes with Truss hands down.

It will of meant future contests, both Tory and Labour parties decide on a cut off point for new members voting in a leadership contest, they usually choose a date that was somewhere around 5-8 weeks before the current leader announced they are resigning/stepped down just to head off individuals/groups joining solely to influence who the next leader might be.Archery1969 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 20, 2022 4:47 pmBut the buff I got said I get to vote in leadership contests.
