I like the democratic nature of the file by, no dress code plenty of jeans and trainers, diverse ethnic group, all ages - apparently no celebrities jumping the queue. The changing of the guard, very elaborate but perfectly in sync. Some things we still do rather well in dear old Blighty.

Little bit unfair that by Sky imo. I haven'tt been watching any of it but when flipping through the channels last night Sky were showing a line of police officers filing past the coffin. I doubt they had to queue for very long but nobody made an issue out of it.Emmson wrote: ↑Thu Sep 15, 2022 11:08 amOK SCRUB my previous post about egalitarian nature of the lying-in-wait file by![]()

You expect the general public to complain about stuff like that especially online but it shows what the media have become when they resort to that level of pettiness too.

'In the know' and 'transparency' imply some kind of cover up or scandal.
If the headline was 'MP's bribe Beefeaters to jump the queue' or 'Theresa May elbows granny out of the way' then that would be a story.
