Xi and Putin are probably high fiving each other as we speak. China crippled the world by releasing Corona virus from a lab and Russia distract the world by invading Ukraine even though the real goal was to see energy prices go through the roof across the West.

Obviously I say all that tongue in cheek, or do I?! :D
OMG it's Spectre for the 21st century.... aaaarrrghhh, run for the hills!!
Blofeld has nothing on these two!

Putin has admitted that Xi has expressed concern about the war in Ukraine. Next, Xi will invade Taiwan and then Putin can express his concern - what a pair of tits!

Leaked video shown on Sky: Close ally of Putin offers Russian prisoners a pardon (after six months) if they fight in Ukraine.

If true, Ukraine could be facing an army of shoplifters, fraudsters, tax evaders, flashers, and maybe even the odd strangler or the man who poisoned his wife with arsenic!

Even their regular professional soldiers barely get paid according to countless reports within Russia, this regime lists their KIA soldiers as "missing" so that they don't have to pay the large compensations to their grieving families. There is truly no end to their betrayal.

It's definitely true about recruiting from prisons, but their press-ganging is much worse. Grown men afraid to leave their homes in occupied areas because recruiter thugs will snatch them off the street and force them into service.

If I understood the video correctly, they were given the option to "stay with us". I think that meant stay in prison, which seems like the safer option. Six months on the battlefield, knowing you'll be treated like cannon fodder, you're chances of surviving and getting a pardon is quite remote. If they agree to fight and desert or are found "not where you should be" they will be shot on the spot.

I recognise this is puerile but why does Putin think adorning his palace with saggy pants is a good idea?

Hundreds of graves found in forest near Izyum. Women and children with ropes around their necks. 😞

The world said, never again after WW1, WW2 and the Balkans.

Looks like the world talks bollocks.

Shame Putin is not coming to the UK for the Queens funeral.

Yeah, I get it, two wrongs don’t make a right.

But it would be nice to torture him and then leave him to rot in a 3 by 3 box.

According to many 'reliable' local eye witnesses from the area they were from the artillery shelling in the early months of the war and not the result of mass murder by bullets to the head or hung in the woods etc

The artillery shelling was mainly on civilian areas so the intent was there to kill innocent people but at least it wasn't done by crazed Russian soldiers like we saw in Bucha

There has been some evidence of torture or bodies with their wrists bound, but there were probably a lot killed in the shelling. Investigations have only begun. I don't envy the people tasked with digging up the bodies and investigating each death.

Biden was asked what the response would be if Putin used nuclear weapons. He said, "do you think I'd tell you if I knew what we would do?".

I think he should have left out the words "if I knew".

I wonder about us as a species. Why have we not concluded that combining our effort and intelligence is vastly more positive and productive than, for example, Russian action vs Ukraine, Saudi vs Yemen, Islamic fundamentalism vs just about everybofy that disagrees with them.
Rats! Just depressed myself.
