But still I get to go through a quizzing on my affordability to gamble from someone probably 40 yrs my Junior.
I'm sure you're a perfectly nice guy but this comment has serious 'get off my lawn vibes'. I'm not UK based so I don't know the ins and outs of any affordability checks but my understanding is that there may now be statutory provisions in place so by law Betfair (and bookmakers of course) are required to impose rigorous screening processes in relation to possible problem gambling. Failing to do so may well incur civil penalties and open themselves up to lawsuits from problem gamblers who have incurred losses that they believe wouldn't have occurred had BF (or others) been following the appropriate guidelines or laws.
The other issue is over 2.5 market bets. Betfair are aware that there an absolute boatload of o2.5 'systems' being spruiked on Facebook and elsewhere. It may well be the case that people new to this market and/or who are placing disproportionately large bets by comparison to their previous action, may be getting flagged.
I of course don't know your level of expertise and feel free to ignore this unsolicited advice but if you have stumbled across one of these advertised systems, whether paid or free, be aware that there is no inherent value in simply backing o2.5. Even if you think 3+ goals will be scored and have no intention of closing your position after the first goal, as most of these systems would have you do, the market has been priced accordingly. Being able to trade out after the first goal doesn't magically apply value to your trade, in fact you'll likely be taking unders by offering the high side of the spread. Yes, you'll have frequent small wins but you'll commonly get 0-0 scorelines and 1st goals scored after the 60th minute where you'll have to close at a loss anyway. These are not viable strategies.
Best of luck in your BF endeavours either way

What's the over 2.5 strategy on soccer? Betfair probably done you a favour
There are a zillion Facebook pages dedicated to this strategy, the theory behind most of them is back the overs and then green up when (if?) the first goal is scored, as if the magical EV fairy visits this specific bet type.
