You appear to be risking £100 to win £10 to £20. Most of these bets will win, but as you're risking substantially more than you can gain, you're always vulnerable to heavy losses.

I would advise you to use smaller stakes when testing new strategies. How are you choosing the horses you lay?

No because you'll be chasing losses. Best thing to do is follow Derek's sound advice and lower your liability in your rules file to a amount your comfortable with

I haven't watched the video but I think it's just an example of how to set up automation. You need to apply your own judgement, what races to use it on, what horses, etc.

If you don't want to lose if a horse wins, you don't lay it!

When you place a bet you have to accept you lose money when the bet loses. Betting is all about devising a strategy of winning more than you lose, not eliminating your losses altogether.

You didn't find 3 winners, they were 3 losing bets because you were betting on them not winning.

Two pieces of advice I can give you. Pick a sport that you know and are familiar with and don't start with a strategy that bets long odds on or lays at long odds against. Those bets you were placing need to win about 7 times in 8 to make a profit, which isn't gonna be easy.
