Maybe you missed my poorly expressed point. Russia attacked Ukraine. Neither Russia nor Belarus are at risk of attack from NATO.
But you are right that it looks like Lukashenko rolling over like a puppy to have it's tummy tickled.

8,000 mobile anti aircraft missiles
4,500 anti ship missiles
2,800 torpedos
3,000 air to air missiles
24 tonnes of plastic explosive
5 million rounds of small arms ammunition. We can also produce 1 million rounds per day if needed.

In December 2022 the MOD put in further orders totalling £700 million for anti tank/aircraft missiles to replenish 6,900 that were already sent to Ukraine.

It’s not known how many nuclear warheads we have in reserve. There are 224 operational and ready to go should the need arise.

Giving Ukraine jets would not work. Too long to train plus need secure infrastructure for maintenance and refuelling etc.

What they need the most and the west can do is give more tanks, anti tank/aircraft missiles and very long range missiles to hit Russian logistics already inside Ukraine to cut of their supply chains.

If I were Zelenski then I would concede on jets but insist on 300 mile missiles but offer a personal guarantee not to hit inside Russia itself. Give him 2,000 of those and that would be enough to grind Putin into the ground. An army can’t fight without supplies.

If I were the UK prime minister then I would take the lead like we did on tanks and send 300 long range missiles and offer to patrol Ukraine airspace with RAF fighter jets manned by our Pilots. Call Putins bluff, his fighter jets have not been seen since we sent Star Streak anti aircraft missiles.

If Ukraine loses all the snowflakes will be crying as Putin will not stop with Ukraine and sooner or later NATO will have no choice but to get involved.

Can you imagine what will happen if Russia then goes in to support Serbia ? WW3 and no good crying about your heating bills or the price of food. All the 18 to 45 year olds will be crying at being told to sign here and take the Kings shilling etc.

Isn't every action from NATO designed to present a united front to Russia's (sorry, Putin's) aggression. Putin has put himself in a corner. The guy has lost the plot. The sooner Russia removes him, the better for us all. Well maybe. Who knows who would come next!

UK pilots operating in Ukraine would be direct involvement. We'd effectively be at war with Russia and I'm not even sure if we could trigger Article 5 if our mainland was attacked.

There's no chance of 18 to 45-year-olds being called up. It's Putin's tactic but bullets fired by untrained office workers have no effect against missiles and artillery. Can you even imagine the queues at GP surgeries to get sick notes?

I just wish we could put all this nonsense behind us and get on with selling each other stuff, collaborating to make the world better. For sure the human effort involved in the killing spree in Ukraine could have helped a great many people if directed differently. Such is life, but sad.
