Look at it on the plus side ... as weapons have become more and more powerful less and less will survive so overall there will be less suffering!

So Putin is going to nuke the UK? Get a grip! Russians have been operating globally for yonks. Putin knows the score, the nuclear is certain death for millions of the people he claims to be protecting. And miilions more. It's just posturing. And both sides can posture because they both have the power to wipe out humanity.Archery1969 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 11, 2023 6:49 pmPentagon security leak confirms 50 British SAS soldiers have been in Ukraine since the beginning helping Ukraine soldiers on the battlefields and in some cases engaging directly with Russian soldiers.

But the suggestion (or fact) that the SAS have been active in Ukraine is incendiary. But I guess the Russians know it and respond accordingly. The nuke suggestion from me was as a result of the Putinesque rhetoric about the consequences of NATO intervention in Ukraine.napshnap wrote: ↑Tue Apr 11, 2023 8:08 pmDon't be harsh, not everybody has a bomb shelter so we need to calm ourselves sometimes!Archery1969 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 11, 2023 8:03 pmI didn't say Putin was going to nuke the UK in my last comment ?greenmark wrote: ↑Tue Apr 11, 2023 7:39 pm

That's the MOD talking bollox and trying to play down the situation, like they normally do. They know full well the troops were there and what they were doing.greenmark wrote: ↑Tue Apr 11, 2023 8:26 pmBut the suggestion (or fact) that the SAS have been active in Ukraine is incendiary. "In line with its standard policy on such matters, the UK's Ministry of Defence has not commented, but in a tweet on Tuesday said the leak of alleged classified information had demonstrated what it called a "serious level of inaccuracy".
"Readers should be cautious about taking at face value allegations that have the potential to spread misinformation," it said. "
I think the fact of the "leaking" of this info has more to it than seems obvious. Is the internet such a reliable source?Archery1969 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 11, 2023 8:31 pmThat's the MOD talking bollox and trying to play down the situation, like they normally do. It will be interesting to see if Labour pushes the government on this. I have seen some of the leaked documents on discord. They do look real or it could be one of the biggest cons in military history. But Washington does seem rather worried about it.Michael5482 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 11, 2023 9:03 pmNo doubt Russia will pounce on this and there'll be more nuclear threats from some of the crack pots over there but they'll conveniently forget they sent two assassins to the UK armed with novichock and committed murder.
In reality special forces will be there to train/advise the Ukrainians from afar and would very much question they've engaged any Russians.
If they have some common sense they won't, don't want to inflate the situation further in front of all and sundry and possibly put our troops at further risk, if there still there now of course.Archery1969 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 11, 2023 9:55 pmIt will be interesting to see if Labour pushes the government on this.
