Dear Bet Angel community,
I have a simple lay to back bot that I have running, and sometimes it doesn't trigger the offset to the backbet... Is this a problem others have been noticing? The bot is doing quite ok, except for the two or three mishits that completely ruin my ROI...

back bets not placed
All the rules and options in BA work exactly has they should, if an offset isn't being placed there will be a reason for it
If you can post up a screenshot of the General and parameters tab of your rules file
and a copy of the Bet Angel log from a market when the offset bet hasn't been placed that should help narrow down the problem

Hi. Is it not being placed, or not being matched? The rules themselves won't indicate which is the case and your Betfair account only shows matched bets and cancelled bets, so that's the type of thing people are suggesting you check the log for.
I don't know the ins and outs of your bot (not a phrase you expect to hear yourself say now I think about it
) so it might be a case of the market moving away from you so that the offset side isn't getting filled?

I'm having a similar problem with a L2B (not back to lay) bot I'm trying to put together.
The log is copied below. I also tried to upload the result from Betfair but failed - sorry. The result showed that Grand Slam Boy was correctly layed at 11.5 and backed at 17.5, but only the back bets were matched for Favorite Light and Tripp Wildcat. I don't understand why the back bet was triggered (i.e. the offset bet) when the initial lay bet was not.
I'm sure this has been answered before but I can't find the answer - apologies in advance but any help really will be very gratefully received. Thank you.
