My automation wasn't working last night. I was too tired to fix it so I went to bed and didn't bother making a note of what the problem was!

the consummate pro -lol. that said, sometimes it can just be too hard to make a start on things when you've tinkered on the edges and haven't found the simple fixes.

As well you know, it unfortunately demands a structured approach - notes, dissection and a quick Memphis Spin (aka - running it in practice mode )

I should be a bit more focused. Now's not the time to be looking up wood preserve. Perhaps it's the internet's way of saying, get on with your work!

Not sure whether the similarity is that they come in tins or taste like wood preserve.

Received a call from somebody claiming to be from Virgin Media. When I asked him to confirm the customer he's talking to I was loading up with abuse to throw at him when he hung up.

I received another one since posting that. She asked how I am, I didn't want to frighten her off before I could abuse her so I just said, can you get on with it, I'm busy. But I must have raised my voice without realising because she hung up.

I think they must get a lot of abuse so unless you express fear that the police will be knocking on your door they just hang up.

I ask myself under what circumstances woud I be willing to do this sort of "work" and it wouldn't be a good place I think.

But are the people you talk to the fraudsters or just poor saps looking for a job and are exploited by a ruthless *******? We can never know. Abuse won't stop them, but it would harden the individual. Politeness even when confronted by this bad behaviour is still the best way, I think .

Absolutely, money gives you the luxury of being able to afford principals. And if you and your family are beholden to the only guy in town who drives a Merc then you do as you're told. It's how organised crime works.
